VIB-TS© is a volumetric throughput control system designed as a space-saving and economical alternative to conventional scales. It is mounted directly at the discharge unit of the vibronet® vibration dampener and provides volumetric throughput measurement without requiring any additional space or maintenance.

How does VIB-TS© measure throughput?

VIB-TS© uses the patented vibronet® vibration dampener's own discharge unit as a volumetric throughput scale. The discharger operates similarly to a rotary air lock: one full revolution (360°) of the vibronet® machine discharger equals a defined amount of kilograms of product per revolution, depending on the machine size and the hectoliter weight of the product being processed.

Does VIB-TS© require a separate measuring unit or housing?

No. VIB-TS© uses the existing discharge unit of the vibronet® dampener directly as the measuring component. The sensor is mounted at the discharge unit without requiring any separate housing, additional installation space or extra infrastructure. This makes it one of the most space-efficient throughput measurement solutions available for vibronet® installations.

What are the main advantages of VIB-TS©?

VIB-TS© offers four core advantages: it saves investment cost by eliminating the need for a dedicated scale; it saves installation space as no additional unit is required; it drastically reduces maintenance and service requirements to virtually zero; and it is a very inexpensive and simple system that is accurate enough to serve as the throughput input for calculating water addition in combination with the vibronet® dampener.

Can VIB-TS© completely replace a conventional scale?

Yes, when working with a vibronet® vibration dampener. VIB-TS© is accurate enough to eliminate any kind of dedicated scale in this context. It provides the throughput capacity value needed for the automatic calculation of water addition, making a separate impact weigher or belt scale unnecessary in vibronet® installations.

How does VIB-TS© compare to the VIB-SMW© impact weigher?

VIB-TS© is the more economical and space-saving option, using the vibronet® dampener's own discharger for volumetric measurement and requiring no additional hardware. The VIB-SMW© is a dedicated continuous stainless steel impact weigher offering a higher measurement accuracy of up to ±0.2% and throughputs up to 50 tph. VIB-SMW© is the preferred choice where high-precision gravimetric measurement is required, while VIB-TS© is ideal where cost, simplicity and space are the primary priorities.

What maintenance does VIB-TS© require?

VIB-TS© requires virtually no maintenance. Because it uses the vibronet® dampener's existing discharge unit rather than a separate mechanical weighing system, there are no additional moving parts, wear components or calibration routines to manage. Maintenance and service requirements are effectively reduced to zero for the throughput measurement function.

What is the working principle of the vibronet® discharger used by VIB-TS©?

The discharge unit of the patented vibronet® vibration dampener operates with a volumetric discharge system built similarly to a rotary air lock.
